Solo Spirit

Meteorology, or the study of weather and weather patterns, is key to the success of the Solo Spirit Mission. Without the support of the Meteorology Team at Mission Control, Steve Fossett and Solo Spirit would have little chance of succeeding in flying around the world. Meteorology is also important when trying to understand ballooning and what it might be like to fly in Steve Fossett's place.
